DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you will play a crucial
role in maintaining the functionality of SCI Greene and the
generation of medium-pressure steam for heat and hot water needs
for the institution. You will be responsible for supervising
inmates and maintaining proper security while ensuring work is
performed under safe operating procedures for boiler operations.
This position also requires a strong understanding of safety
protocols and emergency procedures, as well as the ability to
troubleshoot and problem-solve in high-stress situations. Your work
in this position requires a great deal of responsibility and
attention to detail.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40
hours per weekWork hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Sunday -
Saturday, with rotating days off.Telework: You will not have the
option to telework in this position. This position is eligible for
full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three
years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a
steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric
generating plant; orAn equivalent combination of experience and
training.
Additional Requirements:Successful completion of basic training in
Elizabethtown, PA is required.You must be able to perform essential
job functions.

requirements.
