Job Description:

The Electrician assists the professional staff in performing skilled work on electrical distribution systems and various types of general and special purpose electrical equipment including: new service installations, existing service alterations, and major repair and maintenance.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccountable and responsible for inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment, fixtures, installations and other related systems, and equipment necessary to the hospital's operations at its various sites.Accurately reports information to members of the Maintenance & Operations Department team and other members of the hospital in order that they may intervene to provide adequate and appropriate care.Completes and demonstrates competency in all technical skills and patient care procedures as delegated according to established Washington Health System Core Electrician Skills & Responsibilities.Journeyman Electrician (served as apprenticeship) or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade School Graduate required.Valid driver's license required without any Tier D Violations.Shift: Day 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., or as needed by the hospital.Hours Per Week: 40Department: Facilities ManagementInternal Posting: 4/21/23-4/28/23#IND123ExperienceRequired3 year(s): Experience as an electrician in Industrial, Institutional, or Construction work activitiesEducationRequiredAssociates or betterHigh School/GED or better
