Position Overview and Purpose
The "Maintenance" is responsible for supervising the day-to-day
maintenance of the organization's corporate office, residential
site locations, and vehicle fleet. Work involves routine repair and
maintenance performed independently. More advanced repair jobs will
be contracted by tradesman specific to the job as required. The
position requires a thorough knowledge of drywall, basic plumbing,
and all other standard home and facility maintenance.
Essential Job Functions
Open blocked drains, repair leaky faucets, couple or disconnect
pipes, cuts, and threads pipe
Extensive knowledge in repairing and replacing drywall and drywall
patching
Maintain all physical site compliance as required by county, state,
federal and all other applicable regulation and law
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices commonly used
in maintenance trades and ability to organize and maintain all
equipment
Building and repairing furniture
Interior and Exterior painting
Minor repairs to furnace and water heaters, cleans and lubricates
furnaces, checks both for safety hazards, replaces filter when
necessary
Replaces bulbs, shades, switches
Minor repairs to appliances, light fixtures, and fire security
systems
Places doors, repairs doors and locks and replaces doors and
locks
Lay flooring; including repairs to floors
Clean appliances, carpets, and all other areas of the home
Takes out and replaces or repair screens; installs windows when
applicable
Make minor repairs and adjustments to laundry equipment, oils and
cleans machinery.
Knowledge of safety practices and hazards related to trades
involved
Ability to follow directions and instructions
Properly operate automobile, van (including lift accessory), truck
etc.
Arranges for vehicle fleet inspections and routine maintenance
including collecting vehicle documentation
Continually monitors and updates vehicle fleet information
Maintain ground of residences including grass, shrubs, weeds, and
snow removal
Assists with site moves including furniture and all other
applicable items associated with an individual move
Responsible for purchasing building and repair materials
Other duties as assigned
Professional Standards:
Ensure adherence to agency, county, state federal, and other
regulators.
Maintaining positive and effective relationships with families,
other care providers, state, and federal agencies, outside business
vendors, and the general community.
Maintain required documentation and ensure accurate and organized
record keeping.
Serves as a model of appropriate language, dress, and behavior.
Assumes other responsibilities as required
Hours:
37.5 hours per week. Schedule encompasses varying days and hours
including observation of all shifts including weekends and
holidays. This position has on-call responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
GED/High School diploma or equivalent
4 years' experience in maintenance trade involving building,
mechanical, electrical, or other recognized trade
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license. Use of personal vehicle
required.
