Job Description:

Histology Technician Responsibilities: Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as microscopes, tissue processors, and cryostats. Perform routine quality control and troubleshooting procedures to ensure accuracy and precision of results. Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities, including sample processing, equipment maintenance, and test results. Follow laboratory safety protocols and ensure that all laboratory staff are trained in safety procedures. Communicate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure that all samples are processed and analyzed in a timely and accurate manner. Qualifications: Associate degree from a community college. Minimum of one (1) years of experience working in a histology laboratory. ASCP HT or HLT certification.
