manufacturing.TITLE: SHIPPING & RECEIVING SUPERVISORPRIMARY
RESPONSABILITIES FOR THE: SHIPPING & RECEIVING SUPERVISOR
- Responsible for the continues flow of materials and products in
the shipping and receiving function throughout the facility.
- Ensure that Shipping and Receiving is completed accurately and
on time in line with production and facility demands, lead times
and on time deliveries.--
- Coordinate with purchasing, receiving, planning and logistics
personnel, including third party transportation providers, to
manage the flow of materials and products within the facility and
between internal and customer facilities.-- --
- Lead the area safety program by continuously evaluating its
effectiveness, and by updating and enforcing safety procedures.
Responsible for the oversight, development and performance of
individuals directly reporting to this position.
- Continuously pursue Safety, Quality, Delivery, People and Cost
improvements in accordance with Dynamet's business objectives,
goals, operating model, and core values.
- Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business
support, technical or production team.-- Sets priorities for the
team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with
other supervisors Coordinate supplier review meetings:
- Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business
plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager.-- Typically,
does not perform the work being supervised; supervises a minimum of
two employees.
- Ensures a safe workplace.-- Promotes ways to improve the
quality of life and protect the environment in the communities in
which the Company does business.
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.REQUIRED FOR
THE: SHIPPING & RECEIVING SUPERVISOR
- High School diploma required.
- Two or Four-year degree in Business preferred.--
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field within an
industrial or manufacturing facility.PREFERRED FOR THE: SHIPPING &
RECEIVING SUPERVISOR
- Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined
processes, expertise, and judgement.
- Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements.
- Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business
plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager.
- Effectively coaches, gives performance feedback, and may
provide development opportunities for a shift, team, or unit.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate
technical and business decisions.
