Inc. Division: Environmental Division We're looking for an
Environmental Technician with an Environmental Science or Natural
Resources degree with 0-3 years' experience and enthusiasm to join
our team in Charleston WV. As a member of the team, you will work
on a variety of Environmental Site Assessments and remediation
based projects and collaborate with a team of like-minded
professionals. If you're someone that thrives in a fast-paced work

out the job duties below. Your responsibilities will include but
are not limited to; Provide technical support to senior scientists
on report writing, Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, GIS
mapping, and sampling of soils and ground and surface water for
site characterization. Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site
Assessment field visits and report preparation documenting site
visit observations, request, and review of WVDEP Freedom of
Information Act information, review historic site information and
data to summarize potential concerns, and prepare all supporting
document appendices. Asbestos investigations and sampling
Brownfield program project support Conduct Aboveground Storage Tank
and Underground Storage tank investigations and closures Coordinate
with subcontractors to prepare cost estimates for site
characterization field sampling activities, including geoprobe
subcontractor, rental equipment, waste disposal, and laboratory
services. Conduct field investigations and environmental sampling
activities. Conduct subcontractor oversight and field observation
documentation. Perform initial self-edits on all documents prior to
manager's quality control review. Maintain and continue to grow a
recognized status in the environmental field by accreditation,
license, or certification (have or willing to obtain: OSHA Hazwoper
& Asbestos Sampling certification & Level B UST Closure
Certification, APS/STI tank inspection certification, others). To
be successful in this position, you will bring; 2-3 years
environmental investigation experience or college degree and
environmental remediation experience Certification relevant to
environmental specialization (40-hour hazwoper training, asbestos
sampling certification, or Level B UST tank closure certifications
are a plus.) Environmental field work and environmental media
sampling experience Strong communication, critical thinking, and
time management skills Be proficient in Word, Excel, and ArcGIS 0-3
years of experience in a similar environmental role Thrasher offers
