Air Ground Xpress is an asset based trucking company headquartered just outside of Pittsburgh PA that has been providing 1st class service to our customers for over 35 years. Our late model company fleet (automatics) is professionally maintained by Penske both at AGX terminals and on the highway 24/7/365 providing our drivers with the peace of mind necessary to get the job done timely and return home safely.Compensation

• Average annual pay: $55,000 to $75,000
  • Earn up to $0.55 per mile when applicable with actual starting wage based on MVR. An average of 2,500 – 3,000 miles/week.
  • Layover pay (if applicable): $125 staying weekend overnight in company paid hotel
  • Detention pay: $20 an hour after the first hour
  • $1,000 total driver referral bonus paid in increments: after 90 days, 6 months, 12 months

        • Nightly routes depart from Pittsburgh between 22:00 and 23:00 Sunday – Friday
        • Routes: Chicago -ORD, Philadelphia -PHL, New York -JFK, Newark- EWR & Dulles, IAD (radius of 10 miles of the respective airports)
        • 10 hours off - Come back on duty, make airline/company pick-ups and drive back to Pittsburgh, PA
        • Stops vary based on the shipment/volumes
        • Level of Touch: For the most part these routes are NO TOUCH freight. Driver will observe the loading & unloading of the trucks Equipment
          • Late model automatic Freightliners, Penske leased/maintained
          • Have sleepers
          • Governed speed: 70mph
            
            Qualifications
            • Must be at least 22 years of age with a clean MVR
            • Must have CDL A license
            • Must have 5 years of US driving experience
            • Must have a minimum of 18 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
            • No DUI/DWIs in last 5 years
            • Hazmat endorsement required or able to obtain within 90 days
            • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
            • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
            • Ability to handle physical workload
            • Strong work ethic
            • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 50 miles of Pittsburgh, PA or be willing to relocate for this position
