Position Description: We are seeking a Salesforce Apex and UI/UX Developer for a global Salesforce team. This position requires at least 3 years of experience as a professional programmer, using source control in a team environment. The core focus of this position is the design, development, and on-going support of Salesforce Apex and/or Salesforce UI/UX. This position requires a commitment to learn the particulars of the Salesforce platform, and to apply professional development experience to work performed on the platform. The 3 years of required programming experience may be in any combination of the following areas: Salesforce Lightning Components, Apex programming, Apex Triggers, Apex Batch Jobs, VisualForce Pages, VisualForce Controllers, other Salesforce technologies (i.e. AMP Script, ANT Script, etc.), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, UI Design, System Integration, Middleware, XML. What you will be doing: Provide Salesforce custom software/system development consulting services, in Salesforce projects, possibly at the client's location, at the CGI office, or remotely. * Participate in the solution development, implementation and project closeout * Participate in the assessment phase of the project by providing high level architectural design, research potential implementation road maps, conduct feasibility assessments for supporting external libraries * Participate in the design phase by producing high level database design and supporting class structures around the design, high level architecture application and document use cases, database designs, functional and implementation requirements * Deliver quality code to meet project timeline estimations * Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction * Perform other duties when designated from time to time FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB * Apply best practices for Apex Development, Lightning Development, UI/UX implementation, security model, mobile first development, deployment strategies, workflow, etc. * Demonstrate Salesforce capabilities to solve business problems by implementing demos and producing the supporting documentation. * Stay current with the periodic Salesforce releases and leverage the updates applicable to the ORG. * Be part of agile scrum teams and participate in planning, documentation, execution, testing, and launch of projects. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in related field * Minimum three years' experience as a professional programmer using source control in a team environment. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, managers, and SME * Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision Desired Qualifications: * Experience in all major aspects of Apex development: Triggers, Batch Jobs, VisualForce Pages, VisualForce Controllers, etc. * Experience in UI/UX development: HTML, HTML 5, Java script and CSS * Experience with Lightning Components and Salesforce Communities * Experience with GIT source control and enterprise Salesforce deployment processes and tools Skills: * Communication (Oral/Written) * CSS * Integration Management * JavaScript * Middleware * Salesforce * SalesForce * User Interface Design * Salesforce Developer What you can expect from us: Build your career with us.
