In just a few months, we ve signed a half-dozen agencies that collectively write over $400 million of insurance premium per year - all without in-house agency expertise on our team.Our goal is to organize and structure the universe of data within commercial insurance, to drastically improve the experience and efficiency for everyone involved in a commercial insurance transaction. We ve raised a large seed round from a number of top fintech investors, including Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Foundation Capital, and Data Collective, giving us a long, ample runway to execute our mission.ABOUT THE ROLE:We are looking for a commercial insurance broker (producer and/or account manager) to join our founding team. The ideal candidate has many years of commercial insurance experience, both in building profitable books of business as well as building strategies to improve agency efficiency. The best candidates believe that traditional insurance agencies need to evolve and want to be a part of that technological evolution. You will be working alongside our product team to form hypotheses, test them, and provide in-house user feedback while rapidly transforming the way insurance agents do business.As the sixth team member, you would work alongside a passionate team with diverse backgrounds working hard to modernize an antiquated industry. And as part of a small, agile team, you ll have the opportunity to work on multiple projects across the company to make an outsized impact on our product as a whole.WHAT YOU LL DO:
Build and manage client relationships.
Conduct and participate in market education/research.
Support marketing and product efforts by sharing insights and knowledge from your time in the industry with the broader organization.
Respond to client requests and issues, and support our customers workflow and processes, including work involving both carrier and agency management systems.WHAT YOU LL NEED:
5+ years of experience at a midmarket commercial insurance agency.
3+ years of hands-on experience with an agency management system and other agency software.
An interest in technology and a desire to see more technology serving the agent market.
A deep sense of empathy for our users - midmarket commercial insurance agents and their teams.
An ability to integrate the customer s perspective with user experience concepts and our overall business strategy to make recommendations for our outward-facing messaging and approach.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
A mindset that embraces ambiguity and comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment.
A proactive approach to identifying problems and opportunities, and generating creative approaches to solve them.
