Job Description:
Overview:Job Summary:This position is primarily responsible for
the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of moderately complex
products and /or sub-assemblies. Position is also responsible for
performing various tests and inspections throughout the process to
ensure that component parts are assembled according to drawings and
customer specifications. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and
quality standards as related to production and company objectives
is required. In addition, this position is responsible for
maintaining production goals through linearity / productivity
targets and cost containment by eliminating waste. 2nd and 3rd
shifts offer a shift differential, this differential will also
increase in July. Step Increases earned within the first 12 months
of employment. 401k + Pension Responsibilities:Description of
Duties and Responsibilities:Assemble and test apparatus and / or
sub-assemblies, using various test machines, high pressure air, and
various hand tools.Assemble sub-assemblies and component parts
using torque wrenches, vises, and various other hand / power
toolsPerform tests, troubleshoot, visual inspections, and repair
sub-assemblies and component parts as needed.Completes and
maintains relevant paperwork and inputs information in computer
systemPackage material for shipmentMust meet specific criteria
within the Pneumatic Associate Progression requirements at a Level
IIIResponsible for quality throughout the DFT processDemonstrate
performance behaviors essential to DFT methodology including flex
to work, following sequence events, building to signal, and keeping
the line wetQualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work
instructions and test proceduresProven ability to understand
standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of
various measuring devicesAbility to perform standard software
operations including SAPAbility to infrequently lift, carry, push
and pull up to 30 pounds without assistanceAbility to lift up to 90
pounds with assistance in a team liftActively participate in
problem solving & continuous improvement effortsProven ability to
use power and hand toolsAbility to effectively communicate with
various levels within the organization including training of new
associates and temporary agency assignmentsAbility to work in a
team environment and to work independently with minimal
supervisionAbility to consistently perform work within established
operational cycle timesAbility to wear safety glasses ANSI Z87
approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as requiredEducation and
Experience Required:High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of one
year previous manufacturing or related experienceShift: 3rd
