language of industry.Summary: At Fulmer/Perma-Cast; our focus is on
building high-quality Transportation & Power Generation Brush
Holders, Permanent Mold Castings, Specialty CNC Machining and
Manufacturing at competitive prices and extending personalized
service to Fulmer/Perma-Cast (Wabtec's) customers. We are ISO
certified and the Quality team ensures compliance with Fulmer's
(Wabtec) quality standards and is instrumental in furnishing our
customers with a quality and reliable product. The Inspector Role
will report directly to Quality Manager. tThis position is a Monday
through Friday, dayshift, on site position requiring occasional
overtime. Set up and operates a variety of machinery such as CNC
milling machines, CNC lathes, special purpose and other distinct
machines and machining centers and some conventional equipment.
Also sets up and adjusts machine tools including preset. Duties and
Responsibilities: Produces and assures quality of parts (utilizing
necessary measuring gages and equipment) and machine parts on all
machines.Operates CNC lathes and mills and multiple machining
centersMay operate conventional machines as neededReads and studies
blueprints and job orders for product specifications such as
dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instruction such as feed
rate, cutting speed, depth of cut, fixtures and cutting tools to be
used.Verifies conformance of finished work piece to
specificationsPrograms and/or edits CNC machineryAdhere to Wabtec
Code of ConductOther duties as assignedInspection for compliance to
quality and engineering requirements by confirming specifications,
drawings, BOMs, and visual inspections of incoming materials, FAI
material, In-process production, and Finished product.Use of
automated measuring equipment such as CMM, Mitutoyo and FARO
ARM.Authority to quarantine non-conforming product and release
approved/passed material to inventory/production/shipping
departments.Communicates approvals and rejections to the vendors
and purchasing.Maintains quality records and company owned
inspection equipment including IMTE Calibrations of gages.Creates
Non-conforming reports.Assist in corrective action problem solving
utilizing 8-D format including techniques such as 5Y's, cause &
effect etc.Adhere to Wabtec Code of Conduct.Other duties as
assignedMinimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily.)Minimum 2 years experiences in CNC operations and
conventional machining. This position requires accuracy and
responsibility as many duties must be performed without close
supervision.Training and/or experience using measuring equipment
and reading drawings is needed.High School Diploma or GEDMust be
able to perform shop math calculations and read and interpret
blueprints and work ordersFanuc control experience
desiredJourneyman or apprentice papers preferred.Ability to read
and interpret safety rules and work orders.Overtime may be
required, and employees are expected to make the necessary
arrangements to accommodate this need.Must be able to work any
shift, overtime and weekends. High School Diploma or equivalent and
three (3) years minimum quality inspection experience required.
Must have experience using CMM and FARO ARM. Possess basic math
skills, and ability to read and Interpret drawings.Must have
experience setting up and using both manual and programmable CMM
and FARO ARM equipmentCMM Programming experience is desired Basic
knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities:High level interpersonal skills to work effectively
with others to meet production demandsAbility to work
unsupervised.Performs varied machining operations largely on
standard work having close tolerance and finish
specifications.Capable of performing edits to CNC programs.Sets up,
adjusts and operates standard and special types of machine
tools.Working knowledge of cutting tools and materials.Strategic
and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create
solutions.Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement
change in process and procedures as needed.Must be self-motivated

needed.Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, steel rules,
go-no-go gauges, visual comparator and hand tools.Proficient in

environment. Previous experience in a machining role is
desiredUnderstanding of ISO 9001:2015XXX Industry Standards and
Quality Sampling Plans (AQL).Knowledge in Process /capability
