Job Description:
Overview The IT Support Specialist I provides support to
Divisional end users on a variety of IT related issues. Identifies
researches and resolves problems using remote services when
necessary. Responds to tickets, telephone calls, e-mails, for
support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problems to ensure
timely resolution. Responsibilities+ Answer all ticket requests
from field offices and DHQ. + Answer users' inquiries regarding
computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems. + Log
and respond to IT related issues. Follow up, research, and resolve
in a timely manner. Report pertinent issues to the IT Manager. +
Remotely repair software applications including Office 365, Lotus
Notes, Sophos Anti-virus, and general Windows problems. +
Configure, ship, and install DHQ and Corps computers. Ensuring that
the appropriate users and user access privileges are set up
correctly on each computer, that the necessary applications are
installed and functional, that the computer is attached to the
Domain and that the equipment is deployed in a timely manner. +
Install or configure hardware (including PCs, printers, faxes,
copiers), peripherals. + Creating New Users in Active Directory,
Microsoft Exchange, Cisco Call Manager + Support with general
computer maintenance within Divisional Headquarters building and
field offices, including ensuring OS' updates. + Travel out into
the field to assist with field repairs, upgrades, and maintenance
when necessary. + Maintain an inventory log of all equipment
purchased, received, and distributed. Qualifications+ Excellent
verbal and written communication skills. + Strong attention to
detail and follow through on all work without management follow-up.
+ Ability to prioritize. + Must be able to lift, bend, twist,
stoop, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds. + Gather issue information
and create an effective resolution plan. + Ability to help and
assist end users of all skill levels in a wide range of IT related
tasks. + Be focused on providing the highest quality customer
experience. + Possess a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and
enthusiasm. + Ability to take initiative and work on projects on
ones own. + Ability to assist in presenting and developing training
modules. + All three PA Clearances required upon employment and
thereafter upon renewal date: PA Child Abuse History Clearance,
Request for Criminal Record, and Fingerprint based federal criminal
history. + PA Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation
Army's KeepSAfe training required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: +
Associates degree or equivalent. + IT Certifications beneficial. +
At least 1 to 2 years experience in an IT environment. + Having
prior customer service positions is helpful. + Should be familiar
and have a working knowledge of: + Microsoft Office 365 + Microsoft
Windows 7/10/11 + Lotus Notes and Lotus Notes Domino 6.5 - Current
+ Wide Range of Copiers, Printers, MFPs, and other peripheral
