Description:
The Business Systems Specialist will help the URA maximize its
productivity and reporting as its software systems SME (NetSuite,
The Mortgage Office, and Ion Wave Technologies). The incumbent will
report to the Manager of Strategic Data and Impact and will assist
the Unit by using software systems knowledge and expertise to drive
business strategies that improve continuous quality improvement and
data analytics and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for a
Business Systems Specialist with more vested interest in data
analytics and reporting.

Requirements:
The Business Systems Specialist will help the URA maximize
productivity and reporting as its software systems SME. The
incumbent will be responsible for software systems administration
and will have expertise in using more advanced system features to
improve workflow and achieve business goals for the URA. We imagine
the incumbent will:
Act as the URA's SME for NetSuite, The Mortgage Office (TMO), and
Ion Wave Technologies (IWT) administration, configuration,
maintenance, change management, and ensuring proper updates to
production systems
Serve as the primary relationship manager for NetSuite, TMO, and
IWT to manage accounts and the use of acquisition or enhancements,
modules, 3rd party vendors, and solution consultants
Ensure business and functional requirements are properly configured
in NetSuite, TMO, and IWT; maintain up-to-date knowledge of
software systems functionality, customization, and integration
Engage with NetSuite, TMO, and IWT end-users and relevant URA staff
to design/develop new business processes and/or enhance existing
ones
Develop, test, and deploy customizations, custom objects, new
subsidiaries, and new functionalities based on evolving business
needs and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Promote user adoption of NetSuite, TMO, and IWT by providing
production support for daily operations; troubleshooting errors,
and analyzing and solving reported applications
Manage the integration of software systems with internal and
external applications
Work with financial administrators and/or software systems
functional staff to maintain proper system access for all users and
manage permissions
Monitor end-user usage of software systems, tracking performance,
and maintaining service documentation
Resolve software system interface issues, define input/output
definitions, ensure the integrity of the system integration;
troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to users,
application, or integrations
Works with relevant stakeholders and consultants to develop
reports, workflows, saved searches, and queries in software systems
to support basic data collection and reporting requirements
Identify key opportunities and gaps in business processes and
technology solutions
Implement best practices, acts as a strategic advisor to drive
innovation and continuous IT improvement
Query and analyze data from NetSuite and other software systems to
communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences using
data visualizations/dashboards, reports, and presentations
Highly proficient in using software systems to extract and use data
for analytic and reporting purposes; note that position has equal
emphasis on software systems administration and use of software
systems for more advanced data analytics and reporting,
specifically real-time dashboards
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in management information systems, information
technology, computer science, business, finance, accounting, or
related field
At least 3 years of Business Systems Analyst experience or software
product development
Experience with software system dashboards and using software
systems for data analytics and reporting
Experience collaborating with management, Project Managers,
Business Analysts, and staff from finance and accounting among
others to scope work, product, and time estimates
Strong understanding of Order to Cash and Pay to Procure business
processes
Experience with SQL and SQL Server Integration Services
Familiar with Software Lifecycle Management and Change
Management
Ability to influence the opinions and approach of relevant
stakeholders
Ability to effectively present to audiences at every level of the
URA (Executive Leadership, Directors/Managers, all staff)
Track record of being self-reliant, and the ability to operate in a
highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
Detailed-oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple
timelines and complex business processes
Excellent organizational skills and communication skills, including
verbal, written, and public speaking are required
Experience conducting research and analysis
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in management information systems, information
technology, computer science, business, finance, accounting, ore
related field
3-5 years of Business Systems experience or software product
development

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely
and successfully with the ADA
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs., standing, sitting,
reaching and stretching.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
