Examination Notice for Borough of Tyrone Police Department - Position of Patrolman The Tyrone Borough Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Patrolman. Applications are available at the Tyrone Borough Municipal Building, 1100 Logan Avenue,Tyrone, PA 16686. The Municipal Building is open Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm,except for holidays falling within said time. COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE BOROUGHSECRETARY'S OFFICE DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS ON OR BEFOREMONDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2021 AT 4PM. The physical agility test will be held on Wednesday, December 1, :00am at the TyroneArea High School behind the bus garage. The written examination will be held on the same day,December 1, 2021 at 12 noon at the Tyrone Borough Municipal Building, 1100 Logan Avenue,Tyrone, PA. The cost to take the written portion of the test is $30. Fee will be collected at thetime of the written test. Other mandatory components of the test are an oral interview, abackground check, a medical examination, and a psychological examination. A complete copy of the Borough of Tyrone's hiring policy, as set forth in its Civil Service Rules, is available forinspection during regular business hours at 1100 Logan Avenue, Tyrone, PA 16686. All Applicants must be at least 21 years of age as of November 22, 2021, have Act 120certification, and have worked at least 500 hours as a municipal police officer during the currentor immediately preceding calendar year.
