As an Operations Specialist within PNC's Investment Operations/ Foreign Exchange organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Key responsibilities of a Collateral Management Analyst:

• Calculate and execute margin calls based on Derivatives, Foreign
Exchange, and Securities trading activity and exposure

• Prepare and review trade blotters including daily collateral movements,
month end interest payments, and principal and interest on securities held
as collateral

• Research and resolve valuation differences on trades executed with other
swap dealers

• Reconcile differences on the material terms of complex trade types

• Participate in the analysis and execution of various projects to improve
operational efficiency and/or comply with industry regulations

• Perform daily tasks and reconcilements related to market valuations, trade
activity, collateral movements, and security positions

• Review and analyze customer documentation to set up terms in the
Collateral Management system

• Respond to various customer inquiries and requests

Job Description

  • Executes complex transactions/processes utilizing standard procedures. May have specific responsibility for one or multiple specialized products or functional areas.
  • Reconciles complex transactions of high risk and financial value in accordance with established policies and procedures. Identifies and addresses exceptions and serves as a point of escalation for complex transactions. Partners internally with service partners to route calls, documents or other action items to complete transactions. Interacts with external customers to complete transactions.
  • Ensures the appropriate materials, documentation and capacity are available to complete transactions.
  • Provides consultation and advice to internal and external customers. Reviews existing processes, recommends improvements and drives implementation. Serves as a subject matter resource for process improvement projects. Trains and onboards new hires.
  • Reviews transactions and related documents and verifies work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy and conformance to established service levels and applicable procedures. Reviews reports to identify exceptions, monitor quality and ensure compliance. Participates in risk mitigation activities.

Standard Operating Procedures – Knowledge of and ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
