Position Summary & Description
This is a non-represented management position.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) invites applications
for the position of a Grant Accountant.
The Grant Accountant reports directly to the Director, Grant and
Designated Funds and provides support in all aspects of grant and
designated funds administration. Responsible for classifying
revenues and expenditures in accordance with Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles, University and SSHE accounting principles,
and funding/grantor restrictions in the Designated and Restricted
Funds. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and other
schedules of financial information to comply with the reporting
requirements of outside funding sources and grantor restrictions.
Responsible for monitoring actual expenditures compared to budget
amounts and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
2 years accounting experience
Full understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of Federal Grant Policy
Knowledge of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Uniform
Knowledge of Single Audit Requirements
Prior Grant Accounting or Auditing of Federal Grants

environment. Although infrequent, periods of heavy exertion may
occur. Incumbent must have the following abilities:
