The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS)is the largest secretariat in MA state government, comprised of 16 agencies with over 20,000 employees statewide. The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services is looking to hire a self-organized and self-directed Junior IT Project Manager. The Junior IT Project Manager will assist the ACIO of the Children, Youth and Families cluster in supporting the computing resource needs of users across three EOHHS agencies, including the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Department of Youth Services, and the Office of Refugees and Immigrants (ORI). The selected candidate will help plan, coordinate, track, and report on different device and office automation initiatives needed to support a modern work environment with sustainable and location-independent work.The Junior IT Project Manager will need to have a good background in technology operations. This individual will work closely with the ACIO as well as the broader IT Team supporting these agencies. The Junior Project Manager will be working with other stakeholders in several departments to implement IT projects.

The primary work location for this role will be at600 Washington Street Boston, Massachusetts 02111. The work schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM.This position will require limited travel (5%) to various MA sites when needed or requested. Responsibilities:

Provide general project support to the ACIO and technical project managers Assist with the implementation of new products & processes Help prepare for, support, and follow-up on meetings with project staff and stakeholders Prepare status reports of work done, new work planned, risks, and issues Help ensure completion of project activities/deliverables and adherence to timelines, Track milestones and timelines across projects Develop and run weekly and monthly reports related to technology assets Respond to ad hoc inquiries and requests for technology-related information from users Follow-up with users as needed Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources and create necessary structure and action steps from that data Work across departments and business units to promote successful completion of projects Conduct research as needed to support client requests and procurements Manage smaller technology projects as assigned Triage of client support requests and coordinate proper resources

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT project management with capability of managing complex, cross-functional IT projects. Strong knowledge and work experience using the following project management tools: Atlassian Jira and Microsoft Project. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, ability to tailor information to an audience in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding at all levels Excellent, analytical, issue & problem management skills, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills Experience working both independently and in team-oriented collaborative environments Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to evaluate processes and improve workflow. Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact, influence, manage and negotiate effectively at all levels including senior level management.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired but not required
