General Manager of Mexico responsible for managing SMS group
customers’ near term (daily and weekly) sales and service requests
and requirements. Supports the Vice President of Central Sales and
Marketing on all activities to aid in developing and carrying out
the Sales Strategic Plan for SMS group Inc. in Mexico. Work closely
with current SMS group sales representatives in Mexico.

Deliver presentations on new company technology to customers and
Solve customer problems and issues that arise. Serve as a
liaison between the customer and the various divisions of SMS
group, including workshop personnel and management.

order placement, job completion and delivery.
Work with sales representatives and customers to ensure payment
is received for all invoices.
Responsible for ensuring that customers are aware of the latest
technological solutions available from all business units within
SMS group (Metallurgy, Rolling, Processing Lines, Long Products,
Tube and Pipe, Forging and Digitalization)
Manage SAP/CRM for customers within the Mexican market.
Assist SMS group purchasing activities within Mexico
Develop Business Plan for potential future Mexican – SMS group,
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
What you’ll need
A minimum of eight years of experience within the steel industry
Experience in customer relationship management.
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
Travel is required – up to 50%.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and
technical journals, financial reports
and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from
customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business
community.· Ability to create customized presentations for customer
Ability to effectively present information to all levels at
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Computer Skills: CRM
experience, spreadsheet and word processing software, PowerPoint,
project management Software.
Other: valid driver’s license (significant driving
requirements), basic knowledge of reading prints
and understanding the functionality of equipment within mills
