Management Office Director is responsible for providing both
leadership and oversight of the Bank’s Project Management Office
(PMO) and its staff. This individual will be responsible for
improving the overall project management (PM) maturity across the
Bank, including refining current and defining new enterprise-wide
PM practices, governance standards, processes and metrics. Also
responsible for ensuring projects and programs are defined, tracked
and communicated in a consistent and effective manner. Incorporates
effective change and risk management controls.. Qualifications:. •
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business, Information
Technology, or related field required. Will consider commensurate
experience.. • PMP, PgMP, or PfMP Certification is preferred.. •
Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in an IT
or banking role with at least 5 years of direct experience managing
a PMO responsible for large scale projects involving multiple
departments required.. • Advanced knowledge of Project Management
tools, including the implementation and use of Project Portfolio
Management (PPM) software.. • Advanced knowledge of Project
Management techniques, including both Agile and Waterfall
methodologies.. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and
meet deadlines.. • Strong organizational and analytical skills.. •
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including
demonstrated experience presenting to executive management..
Principle Activities and Duties:. • Lead and manage the PMO by
sustaining a team culture of communication, collaboration, and
problem-solving.. • Hold project management team accountable to
Bank and PMO process standards.. • Strengthen the project
management team through ongoing education and training.. •
Interview candidates for project manager positions.. • Provide
oversight on project status related to Scope, Schedule, and Budget
to Bank management and the PMO Oversight Committee.. • Manage
project portfolio of the PMO and adapt as needed to changing
business priorities.. • Manage both project risk and portfolio risk
to stay within the Bank’s overall risk appetite.. • Develop and
manage departmental strategy, including the introduction of new
project management strategies.. • Distribute relevant information
and maintain communication with all project stakeholders and Bank
management.. • Monitor effectiveness of project management
processes and methodologies; implement improvements as necessary..
