As the Director of Compliance, this position will provide
product/healthcare compliance expertise to support
and guide product vision and roadmap strategies. This role will
own the success and quality of product
compliance while collaborating with key stakeholders as the
informant of industry regulatory requirements
impacting xfit and legacy products.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
? Act as the product company compliance SME with strong
? Strong understanding of our products and customer needs in
order to align with the evolving compliance
regulatory landscape changes, understand how they intersect, in
order to provide solid guidance for
? Be the source of contact for regulatory agencies that impact
areas of concern and/or support regarding
product development, sales, and deliver of company products.
? Strategize/inform regulatory agencies via public comment
period addressing company (developer/vendor
issues) for future consideration with Final
? Address communication for development of regulatory
registries- such as FMSCA, OSHA, etc.,
? Monitor, review, and analyze information published by
regulatory and accrediting bodies to strategize
timely product roadmap planning. (Federal Level)
? Support due diligence initiatives related to compliance
research into potential acquired
? Act as a subject matter expert to internal management
regarding best practices for compliance healthcare
business processes and initiatives.
? Provide recommendations for product development related to
legislative/rule changes specific to the
markets being served such as Medicare, OIG, HIPAA (Privacy),
OSHA, FMSCA, CDC, ONC, State Pharmacy
Boards, and/or accreditations such as Joint Commission.
? Upon notification, will assess and audit product performance
against established requirements to verify
? Review and provide input for product marketing materials to
? Recommend the need for third party vendors to support
compliance/regulatory product needs while
supporting the evaluation/review process in collaboration with
? Work in collaboration with the HIPAA Privacy and Security
officers supporting employee education and
policy development regarding HIPAA Privacy Rule.
? Develop and maintain company product processes to provide risk
assessment and mitigation plans
(auditing and monitoring) for specific areas that impact high
risk areas around defects related to patient
safety, legal medical record, ID proofing, EPCS, etc.,
? Educate and inform all internal teams (Product, Sales, Client
Services, Implementation and Training) when
specific features require additional research and scrutiny to
adhere with compliance best practices.
? Prioritize compliance stories and requirements in the shared
backlog based on regulatory timelines and
areas of scrutiny within the compliance industry.
? Support education and oversight of training materials related
to product compliance for external facing
teams including product marketing, sales engineers, client
services, technical writing, and Implementation
and Training (I&T)
? Ability to identify and research complex rules and regulations
which apply to the healthcare industry,
and utilize available resources for research, analysis and
? Understand and utilize appropriate compliance resource tools
such as VitalCoder, ODG (EBM
Guidelines), CMS Transmittals, etc.,
? Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Business, or a related field of
study, preferably in a healthcare field with a
? A strong knowledge base within the compliance health care
industry with 5+ years of experience in
hospital administration type position.
? A solid understanding of EMR Technology as well as Legal
Medical Record Best Practices
? Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work through
complex compliance regulations
? Ability to recognize and utilize resources with regards to
keeping current with compliance, legal record,
documentation, and regulatory standards.
This role will work closely with key departmental and project
stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the
ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels
of management and staff within the organization is a

This role may manage staff and carry out supervisory
