The persons in this position are responsible for processing US Mail and cargo products for transport to and from aircraft and trucks. Responsibilities: - Process USPS mail and cargo products for transport to/from aircraft and truck - Operate forklifts, tugs, and other equipment used to keep the flow of cargo and mail moving safely and in a timely manner. - Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner - Enforce facility and company policies and procedures as mandated by TSA and airlines. Qualifications: - Must pass a 10 year background check to obtain an Airport ID - This position requires the applicant to have a valid Driver's License and pass an MVR check and USPS clearance to handle and process mail, as well as operate equipment - Previous experience with forklifts and pallet jacks preferred - Must be thorough and exercise sound, independent judgement - May be exposed to high levels of noise or variations in weather and temperature - Available to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays - Reliable transportation required - Demonstrate the ability to work with others and interact appropriately Physical Requirements: This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Agents must be able to: Walk and stand for extended periods Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all operations Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds These physical requirements are essential to performing the job successfully.
