Job Description:
Clean Harbors, North America’s leading provider of
environmental, energy, and industrial services, seeks a CDL
Equipment Operator to join our Transportation & Logistics team.
This role is crucial in supporting our mission to offer hazardous
waste disposal, emergency spill response, and industrial cleaning
services, where protection of the environment and adherence to
safety and sustainability standards are paramount. As a CDL
Equipment Operator, you will operate specialized equipment involved
in the processing and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous
materials in compliance with all local, state, and federal
regulations. Operate heavy equipment such as vacuum trucks,
tankers, and roll-offs to manage and transport hazardous and
non-hazardous waste material. Conduct pre- and post-operation
checks on equipment to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
Coordinate with site management to implement project-specific
environmental protection and safety protocols. Maintain accurate
records and logs of material transport, adhering to DOT regulations
and company policies. Engage in ongoing training related to safety
procedures and the proper handling of hazardous materials.
Proficient in operating heavy equipment including hydraulic
systems. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety
compliance in hazardous material handling. Ability to work in
various environmental conditions and adhere to safety protocols.
Effective communication and teamwork skills. Medical Insurance

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials
Endorsement (HME). OSHA Training certification in hazardous waste
operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) is preferred.
