Job Description:
Position Description: This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA
with work performed at our client site. CGI is looking for a
dynamic Platform Lead with expertise in Kafka and DevOps
Engineering, and experience in a bank or any financial institution
and significant experience engaging with Onshore stakeholders and
leading an Offshore based Crew. Your future duties and
responsibilities: . Lead and manage the Onshore Platform Operations
Team, providing technical direction, workload oversight, and
operational governance to ensure stable and efficient platform
performance. . Administer and operate Apache Kafka environments,
including Confluent Cloud and on premises clusters, ensuring proper
installation, configuration, scaling, and lifecycle management of
Kafka brokers, Kafka Connect, and related components. . Design and
maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and
Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of
platform resources. . Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD
pipelines to support automated application delivery, integration,
and infrastructure deployment across multiple environments. .
Perform performance tuning and optimization of Kafka clusters,
including managing partitions, replication factors, consumer lag,
and ensuring low-latency, high-throughput data streaming
operations. . Implement and maintain monitoring and observability
solutions using tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, and
Logscale, ensuring proactive detection, alerting, and
troubleshooting of platform issues. . Ensure platform security and
compliance, including implementation of data encryption,
authorization controls, ACL management, and adherence to
organizational and regulatory standards. . Collaborate with
engineering and development teams to define Kafka topic structures,
schemas, SLAs, and best practices for producers and consumers
across the data ecosystem. . Support containerized application
deployments by managing and operating container platforms using
Docker and Kubernetes (including OpenShift environments). . Build
automation tools and scripts using Python to streamline operational
workflows, reduce manual tasks, and improve efficiency across the
platform. . Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
principles—where applicable—to improve platform reliability,
scalability, incident response, and overall operational excellence.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Must have
dedicated KAFKA Administration and Operations (should know Apache
KAFKA architecture in-depth, KSQL, Confluent Cloud, Installation,
configuration and management of KAFKA brokers, KAFKA Connect)
experience . 5 years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka,
including Connect, Kafka Streams, Zookeeper, Schema Registry and
managing Kafka on Confluent Cloud . 5 years in DevOps tools like
Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Python and Java for automation. . 3
years of experience in leading cross-border teams, such as onshore
– offshore. . 5 years of experience in engaging directly with
Client Stakeholders in understanding and planning work packages,
especially around Kafka. . At least 5 years of experience as a Team
Lead, leading a team of professionals in India to get the work done

determination of this range includes various factors not limited to
skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and
certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based

top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are
dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable
estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is
