company’s success. As a(n) Principal Software Engineer within PNC's
C/IB organization, you will be based in Dallas TX, Pittsburgh PA,
Birmingham AL or Strongsville OH. This role is focused on
delivering modern, customer-facing web applications for Derivatives
(Rates, Currency, Commodities, Credit) and Fixed Income
broker-dealer trading and sales teams. Key Responsibilities:
•/tServe as a hands-on technical leader, driving the design and
development of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
•/tArchitect and implement Spring Boot microservices and
event-driven systems. •/tContribute to front-end development using
Angular and ensure seamless integration with backend services.
•/tLead code reviews, mentor engineers, and establish best
practices across the development lifecycle. •/tEnsure robust CI/CD
pipelines and DevOps practices are in place. •/tCollaborate closely
with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical
solutions. •/tChampion Agile methodologies and actively participate
in sprint planning and backlog grooming. •/tEnsure all solutions
adhere to enterprise security standards and regulatory compliance
requirements, with a strong focus on data protection and secure
software development practices. Required Qualifications:
•/tExpert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
architecture. •/tStrong experience with Oracle and SQL performance
optimization. •/tSolid understanding of Angular or similar
front-end frameworks. •/tDeep knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines,
and modern DevOps tooling. •/tProven experience designing and
implementing event-driven systems and distributed architectures.
•/tExpert-level knowledge of containerization technologies such as
Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift, including orchestration,
deployment strategies, and container security. •/tModern API
patterns using APIGEE/APIGEEX, including RESTful APIs. •/tHands-on
experience with customer-facing applications in financial services
or similar domains. •/tFamiliarity with Agile project management
tools such as Jira. •/tExcellent communication and leadership
skills, with the ability to influence across teams and functions.

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on
individual skills, experience, and education. This role is
incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business
