a -Human Resources Generalist -to join their team in -Somerset, PA

- - Essential Job Duties:
- Ensuring the organization is complaint with all federal, state,
local, and federal contractor employment laws and requirements;
advising on human resource policies and programs to ensure
alignment with business goals and objectives and prevent or
mitigate violations of legal guidelines and internal policies and
procedures; developing, updating, and communicating human resources
policies to employees; participating in various internal and
external audits; identifying and implementing of human resources
best practices suitable for the organization; supporting process
documentation activities; maintaining compliance records,
conducting research, and preparing reports.
- Participating in and executing full lifecycle recruiting
process including sourcing, screening, applicant tracking,
interviewing, selection, and onboarding for all Wheeler job
openings.
- Supporting one or more HRIS modules by providing analytic and
technical support in maintaining employee documentation and
records; establishing and communicating procedures required to
standardize and record employment actions, mass uploads, etc. in an
accurate, efficient, and timely manner; running routine and ad hoc
queries and reports; working with HRIS vendor to create and perfect
workflow protocols, data structures, and relationships; developing
various metrics and analytics; performing ongoing audit and quality
assurance processes; serving as primary point-of-contact with IT
and HRIS vendor for resolution of various maintenance and operation
issues; developing and maintaining HRIS procedures manual.
- Implementing and coordinating employee relations policies,
procedures, and programs related to new hire onboarding and
assimilation, equal employment opportunity, employee counseling and
performance improvement plans, separations, as well as
investigations of discrimination, harassment, and other employment
violations; advising employees on human resources policies as well
as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances;
investigates and resolves discrimination complaints and problems;
auditing internal employee and labor practices to identify possible
violations and recommend corrective action; developing and
conducting employee engagement surveys; identifying major trends
and underlying employee relations issues.
- Supporting the organization's formal, ongoing efforts to
improve the performance and satisfaction of employees through a
variety of educational methods and programs; conducting skills
inventory and recommending solutions for addressing gaps;
developing, coordinating, and delivering various training programs
to include onboarding and assimilation training, performance
management training, management skills training, and annual
compliance training; recommends externally available training
programs and vendors when necessary; evaluating and reporting on
the efficacy of established learning and development programs to
maximize return on investment; supporting change management
initiatives.
- This is a high visibility role that will require public
speaking and group presentations.
