Job Description Human Resources Coordinator Distributor Service, Inc., A Wholesale Distributor of Specialty Building Products seeks a Human Resource Coordinator. The Human Resource Coordinator will assist the Human Resource Manager and Senior Management with complex and specialized administrative tasks including record keeping file maintenance, reviewing job applications, managing, and overseeing records, and generating reports, as well as perform general administrative tasks. Responsibilities of the position include: Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details. Maintains high level of integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files, records, and business information. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications. Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews. May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors. Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other celebrations. Files documents into appropriate employee files. Assists or prepares correspondence as requested. Prepares new-employee files. Provides clerical support to Human Resources and Senior Management. Qualifications Include: -- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. -- Three years of office experience preferred, with at least one year in human resources highly preferred. -- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. -- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. -- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. -- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications. -- Ability to function well in high-paced environment. DSI is a distributor of these products to cabinetmakers, millwork casework wood shops, Institutional Case Goods, architectural designers and other professional woodworkers.
