HR Generalist- Quintech

Job Description:

Quintech Electronics & Communications, Inc. (QEC), a division of Evertz Microsystems Ltd. seeks a Human Resources Generalist to be an integral part of the Human Resources Department.

This position reports directly to the Vice-President of Manufacturing and Administration.

Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the full-stage employment life cycle including: recruitment, on boarding, development, retention and off boarding.
Develop HR policies and ensures company practices and policies are current with state and federal law while keeping the employee handbook current.
Responsible for employee relations, payroll, compensation and benefit administration.
Organize training and development initiatives.
Oversee and organize the performance management and discipline program.
Enhance staff's job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and organizing company events including the summer picnic, monthly celebrations and quarterly achievement lunches.
Maintenance of physical and electronic personnel and attendance documents.
Communicate HR issues and needs to parent company's HR Director.
Assist parent company in HR related matters for other USA entities.
Administration of worker's compensation, FMLA/LOA, and unemployment.
Completion of AAP, EEO-1, VETS-100, OSHA-300 and 1095 reports and forms.
Serve as the pandemic safety officer and manage the Pandemic Response Plan.
Work with company leadership to assist in federal and state compliance while supporting the development, engagement and preservation of human capital and ensuring practices are consistently followed throughout the organization.
Inform management of any significant human resource changes including manpower levels, potential legal problems, pending terminations and retirements, and advise management on workforce/succession planning.

Qualifications and Skills required:
Adept to be an HR department of one, with discernment to attain assistance from parent company when warranted.
Knowledge of multi-state HR laws and regulations.
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
Excellent reading, written & verbal communication skills along with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Work requires demonstrated ability to multi-task, especially in terms of planning/organizing and project management. Must have global & cultural awareness and relationship management.

Education and Work Experience requirements include:
A Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, and/or a minimum of two years of HR generalist experience is required.
