Team: The UPMC Presbyterian IV Therapy Team specializes in a
variety of IV services including IV starts, PICC and midline
placement, duo-tube placement, TPA administration, chemotherapy
administration, dressing changes, and blood culture draws. The IV
Therapy Team is a perfect fit for nurses who are energized by
intense collaboration with colleagues; we receive a very high
volume of patients and teamwork is extremely important to ensure
that the needs of the hospital are met on a timely basis. We look

Responsibilities: Build Relationships: - Foster positive

of 1 year of RN experience is required, with IV RN experience
strongly preferred - An Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN, or MSN
is required. - Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to
provide care and interact with all ages of patients. Understand the

and maintain positive, caring relationships with patients and their
families, executives, managers, physicians, non-physician
providers, ancillary and support staff, and other departments. -

sound clinical judgment and problem-solving to deliver quality
patient care when it matters most. - Understand, apply, and

multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment. - Physical
stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of
patients. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: - Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - ACLS within 12 months of hire - Basic
Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - CPR is
required based on AHA standards that include both didactic and
skills demonstration within 30 days of hire. - Registered Nurse
(RN) - Current licensure either in the state where the facility is
located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate
Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license
issued by a participating NLC state. - Hires and current employees
working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their
residency to the state where the facility is also located will have
60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within
that state. - UPMC-approved national certification preferred. - Act
