Radiology Tech Location: State College, PA Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,760 to $1,920 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $44.00 - $48.00/Hourly. Summary: A Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. They ensure patient safety, proper equipment use, and high-quality imaging results. Responsibilities: Performs patient care/technical duties and procedures in an accurate and timely fashion.Greets each patient in a pleasant manner. Reviews requests and evaluates order for appropriate exam and diagnosis. Always checks for two identifiers: Name and Date of Birth. Explains the procedure in terms that the patient understands. Contacts the appropriate individuals for proper scheduling/orders: doctor’s offices and/or nurses. Prepares and positions patients for examinations. Determines and uses proper technique to position patient for view/examination. Takes correct views for examination. Demonstrates the ability to operate CR, Fluoro and DR rooms safely and efficiently. Knows how to operate CR readers and printers. Performs proper start up and shut down of equipment.
