registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years MS Oncology RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with
experience in medical-surgical or oncology nursing is sought to
provide quality patient care in a 48-bed acute care setting. This
role is based in Follansbee, WV, offering a contract position with
12-hour night shifts and weekend schedules as assigned. The unit
typically manages patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia,
urinary tract infections, altered mental status, gastrointestinal
bleeding, alcohol withdrawal, and fall-related complications. Key
Responsibilities: Perform vital signs monitoring, blood glucose
monitoring, EKGs, and heart monitor applications Assist patients
with bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and repositioning
Administer and monitor intravenous drips (except cardiac drip
titration), including heparin, bumex, and lasix Collaborate with
respiratory therapists who manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and
high flow oxygen equipment; troubleshoot respiratory devices as
needed Work alongside patient care technicians with ratios
averaging 1:10-12 Participate in shift rotations including weekends
and holiday coverage as needed Float to related medical-surgical or
intermediate care units based on patient acuity and staffing needs
Qualifications: Current RN license with at least 1 year of
experience; first-time travel nurses are welcome BLS certification
required; CNA or willingness to complete PCT class preferred
Ability to titrate IV drips (excluding cardiac drips) Licensing
issues must be fully disclosed upon application Comfortable working
in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment with 1:5-7
nurse-to-patient ratio on days and 1:6-8 on nights Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM) Weekend schedule as assigned,
typically every other weekend No self-scheduling; shift assignments
are managed by leadership with consideration for time-off requests
