future of women’s health. Oncology (5800) is a 28-bed medical and
surgical oncology unit caring for a variety on oncology patients
but specializing in gynecological cancer treatments and surgical
procedures such as hysterectomies, mastectomies, Syed implants, and
free flap/TRAM flap transplants. Many of our patients are admitted
to receive chemotherapy, and some may require chemo
desensitization. On our unit, we work with negative pressure rooms,
disability/bariatric rooms featuring motorized lifts, and telemetry
monitors. We consider strong teamwork to be central to our success
on 5800 and vital to caring for our patients, and we boast a staff
with a wide range of experience. What can you Expect as a
Professional Staff Nurse? The Professional Staff Nurse provides
highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating
empathy and a passion for learning. A role that requires
independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership,
the Professional Staff Nurse establishes relationships with
physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients’ families
to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of
care. As a Professional Staff Nurse and a member of the care
delivery team, you will set the standards for the level and quality
of nursing care and possess authority and accountability for its
provision. At all times, you will exemplify a commitment to the

Shifts/Hours: Our RNs work a rotating 12-hour schedule to ensure
24/7 coverage on the floor. *Hours and travel are subject to change
based on business needs. - No previous experience required -
Graduate Nurses are welcome to apply - No degree preference - ASN,
BSN, MSN all welcome! Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: -
Registered Nurse (RN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) - CPR required based on AHA standards that
include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within
30 days of hire - UPMC approved national certification preferred. -
Act 33 with renewal - Act 34 with renewal - Act 73 FBI Clearance
