Presbyterian’s Multi-Unit Resource Department! UPMC Presbyterian, a
level-one trauma center and Magnet-designated facility, is offering
nurses the unique opportunity to rotate through different specialty
areas to gain skills and experiences to be able to travel
throughout our hospital’s inpatient areas, not just one unit with
one specialty. Our Multi-Unit Resource position will allow you to
gain critical skills through a variety of different areas, focused
on training you to care for a diverse group of patient populations
and acquire different clinical skills you wouldn’t normally achieve
on just one unit. The Perks: - Along with sign-on bonus
eligibility, our nurses also receive an increased pay differential.
- In addition to exposure to a variety of high acuity areas, you
will also be cross-trained in the ICU. - Flexible scheduling is
also available. Your Experience: This is a unique opportunity where
you will rotate through areas of clinical care consisting of
Neurosurgery, Trauma, Medicine, Surgical and Cardiology. You will
also have the opportunity to be cross-trained in the ICU. Your home
unit will be our Multi-Unit Resource Department where you will gain
the skills and the confidence to successfully manage a diverse
range of patient conditions and be able to provide exceptional care
to our patients throughout the hospital. Here’s how we support our

you. /n - Minimum 1 year RN experience required. /n - ASN Required.
BSN Preferred. /n - The individual must be able to demonstrate the
knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact
appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her
assigned unit as specified below. /n - They must also demonstrate
knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life
span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the
patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed
to identify each patients’ requirements relative to his/her
age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in
the department policy and procedures. /n - Ability to establish and
maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers,
physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff,
other departments, and patients/families. /n - Ability to work
productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle
multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment. /n -
Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities
required as related to various aspects of patient care. /n - Good
clinical judgment. /n - Critical thinking skills necessary to
exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process.
/n /n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n - Current
Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse required
prior to program start date OR must have a Temporary Practice
Permit and commit to taking the NCLEX examination with four months
of hire. /n - CPR required based on AHA standards that include both
a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of
hire /n - Act 34 Criminal Clearance /n - Basic Life Support /n /n
