Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West
Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU -

Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days -
Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Job Details: •
Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Schedule
consists of 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts • Every other weekend or 2
weekend shifts per schedule required • Holiday rotation
participation required • Nurse to patient ratio 1:3 for stepdown
patients, 1:5-6 for EMU patients • May float to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W
units • Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS (must have NIHSS in
hand at time of submission) • ACLS preferred • EPIC experience
required • Strong neuroscience experience required with history of
caring for stroke patients • Care for higher acuity neuroscience
patients including strokes, seizures, craniotomies, and EMU
patients • Work with common drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem,
Nitro, dopamine, and Insulin • Telemetry monitoring available with
monitor techs reading strips • Royal blue scrubs required • 2-shift
unit orientation provided • Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per
13-week contract • Charge nurse available 24/7 with nursing
assistants at 1:8-9 ratio Facility: This major medical center
features a comprehensive Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute with
specialized inpatient stepdown and epilepsy monitoring units. The
facility operates a 31-bed unit with 25 stepdown beds and 6 EMU
beds, providing advanced neurological care with respiratory therapy
available 24/7. The organization maintains high standards for
neurological patient care and offers comprehensive support services
for complex neuroscience cases. Location: Morgantown, WV Morgantown
offers a vibrant college town atmosphere as home to West Virginia
University, providing cultural amenities and educational
