ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU -
Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West
Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU -

Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating

Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with day/night rotation
• Must be on unit ready to go by 6:45 AM/PM • Weekend requirements
include working 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday,
Saturday, Sunday all considered weekend shifts) • Day shift nurses
required to work minimum of 3 night shifts per 4-week schedule •
Patient ratios typically 1:5, goal of 1:4, occasionally 1:6 •
Required to float to Telemetry or Medical/Surgical units as needed
with ratios up to 1:6, possibly 1:7 in MedSurg • Must be flexible
to work holidays when needed • Self-scheduling allowed as long as
unit needs are met with 4 requested days off per month • Required
certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Must be able to titrate drips
including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol,
Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix • Must be able to read and
interpret telemetry strips independently • Manage patients with
chest pain, r/o MI, CHF, arrhythmias, post pacer, pre/post
catheterizations, and Tikosyn therapy patients • Dress code
requires navy blue scrubs (top and bottom) with navy scrub jackets,
no hoodies • Use Allscripts charting system and Sunrise EMR •
Two-day orientation includes 4 hours with HR and remaining time
with preceptor on unit • Strict attendance policy: 2 occurrences of
tardiness or call-offs results in termination • 2 shift
cancellations allowed per 13-week contract • Must provide copy of
unexpired driver's license and disclose any licensing hits at time
of submission • Must live within 50-mile radius of facility
Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 30-bed
Intermediate Care Unit with 14 private and 16 semi-private rooms,
providing intermediate level care between medical/surgical and
intensive care. The facility maintains 24/7 hospitalist coverage,
intensivist coverage in ICU, resident physicians, IV team,
respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services. The unit features
modern telemetry monitoring equipment and comprehensive support
services to ensure quality patient care in an intermediate care
setting. Location: Wheeling, WV Wheeling offers a historic
riverfront setting along the Ohio River with a rich heritage and
beautiful Victorian architecture throughout the city. The area
