Job Description East Liberty Family Health Care Center is seeking a licensed Optometrist (OD) to provide comprehensive vision care in a community?based health center setting. The Optometrist will deliver primary eye care services to patients across the lifespan, with a focus on access, prevention, and management of common ocular conditions in a diverse and underserved population. This role is ideal for a provider who values team?based care, continuity, and mission?driven practice in a primary care environment. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refractions and vision assessments Diagnose and manage common ocular diseases and conditions (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, infections) Provide vision correction services, including prescribing corrective lenses Screen and manage chronic conditions with ocular impact (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) Identify urgent or complex cases requiring referral to ophthalmology or specialty care Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment plans Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR Collaborate with primary care, dental, behavioral health, and care coordination teams Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program Current, unrestricted optometry license in the state of Pennsylvania Ability to manage a full clinic schedule efficiently and independently Strong communication skills and commitment to patient?centered care
