Radiology Tech Location: State College, PA Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,852 to $2,046 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title Radiology Tech - Eves City/State: State College, Pennsylvania Shift: Evening shift; every 3rd weekend, 8 Hour Nights, 20:00:00-04:00:00 Contract Length: 91 weeks Start Date: 02/19/2026 Job Description: Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures and respond to patient questions. Perform diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered by physicians. Responsibilities: Perform patient care/technical duties and procedures in an accurate and timely fashion. Reviews requests and evaluates order for appropriate exam and diagnosis. Prepares and positions patients for examinations. Operate CR, Fluoro and DR rooms safely and efficiently. Assists the Radiologist and/or Fluoro Tech during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations. Prepares IV and Oral contrast media for use, and administers contrast media as needed. Documents patient symptoms, history, imaging limitations, date, time of study, and technologist initials in PACS. Maintains room assignments and keeps work area clean and orderly. Monitors the workflow process utilizing PACS, Image release, and CD burner. Complies with and performs quality assurance duties as assigned. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology by the approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registered with the ARRT in Radiology. Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of radiologic equipment and safety hazards common to radiology. Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and perform simple adjustments.
