Bridgeport offers a friendly small-city community feel with convenient access to dining, shopping, and outdoor recreation in North-Central West Virginia—an ideal home base for your next on-site assignment./n /n/nCompensation/n /n - Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,950–$2,060/week/n /n/nJob Details (Travel Nursing Contract)/n /n - Location: Bridgeport, WV 26330 (West Virginia travel nursing job)/n - Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Med Surg/Oncology with Telemetry/n - Contract Length: 13 weeks/n - Start Date: 2/20/2026/n - Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)/n - Hours: 36 hours/week (guaranteed)/n - Weekends: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun)/n - Holidays: Rotated with core staff/n - Unit Size: 36 beds/n - Typical Ratios: 1:5–6/n - EMR/Charting: EPIC/n - Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs (no false nails)/n - Floating: May float to Med Surg/Tele units as needed/n /n/nJob Requirements (RN Qualifications)/n /n - Experience: Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience preferred (oncology nursing experience a plus)/n - License: Active Registered Nurse license (must be valid for submission)/n - Certification: AHA BLS required/n - Telemetry Skills: Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips (central monitor tech support available)/n - Compliance: Must provide an unexpired driver’s license at submission/n - Preferred: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification (chemo is administered by core staff; oncology familiarity is a plus)/n /n/nResponsibilities (Acute Care Nursing)/n /n - Deliver safe, patient-centered care as a Travel RN for a mixed Med Surg/Oncology/Telemetry population, including post-op patients (e.g., lap chole, lap appy) and oncology patients with complications/n - Care for patients requiring neutropenic precautions and treatment for pneumonia, infections, and other acute conditions/n - Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; recognize changes and escalate concerns per policy/n - Support care for patients with chest tubes, including malignant pleural effusions and patients discharged with PleurX drains (experience highly valued)/n - Administer medications and therapies per orders; manage heparin infusions as applicable (no cardiac drips)/n - Collaborate with charge nurse, CNAs, RT, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and optimize throughput/n - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC/n - Maintain unit standards for safety, infection prevention, and professional nursing practice/n /n/n Apply now to join this Bridgeport, WV travel nursing opportunity and support a high-performing acute care team in Med Surg/Oncology with Telemetry.
