with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Uniontown,
Pennsylvania, 15401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License:
Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have: Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips;
experience with medication drips Description: The unit has 28
private beds. Ratios are typically 1:4-5; may escalate to 1:6 with
higher acuity. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is Cerner
and EPIC. A Charge Nurse is present during the day without
assignments; night charge may have an assignment. Two Nurse Aides
are available during day and mid-shifts, but no CNAs are present
after 11 PM. Weekend requirements involve every other weekend,
including holidays. Scrub color for nurses is navy blue; jackets,
if worn, must also be navy blue. Telemetry monitoring is conducted
on the unit. Nurses must be able to interpret telemetry strips,
despite the presence of a monitor technician. Nurses should be able
to titrate drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and
Heparin; insulin is given at a set rate only. Bipap, Cpap, and
high-flow oxygen are available for patient care. In-house
Hospitalist support is available 24/7. An Intensivist is also
present 7 days a week from 7 AM to 7 PM and on call after hours,
along with occasional NP support. No IV Team is designated, but
charge nurses or the ICU Director can be consulted for challenging
IV insertions. Respiratory Therapy services are available 24/7.
Pharmacy services are also in-house and available 24/7. Nurses work
12-hour shifts, with a rotation that includes weekends. Floating to
ICU may occasionally be required to provide support. Floor-specific
orientation will involve two shifts with a preceptor. The patient
population consists of heavy cardiac cases, including dysrhythmias
and CVAs, along with a variety of patients transferred from ICU.
The cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of two shifts
during a 13-week assignment. Charting is conducted using the EPIC
