for directing and organizing the financial planning and
multi-business unit analysis activities for all of Summa Health
System including: • Facilitating new business pro forma
development; • Coordinating the planning, development and
presentation of the annual consolidated and consolidating budgets;
• Preparing and periodically updating the long-range financial
forecast • Maintaining the cost accounting data to support
financial analysis; • Maintaining and providing statistical data; •
Providing financial analysis, as needed Responsible for monitoring
the financial performance of the Hospital, Parent, and Post-acute
divisions, working collaboratively with the operational leadership;
hospital nursing and physician leadership; Finance; and other
executive leaders as necessary to assume the role of Division
expert on the financial reporting, reimbursement, revenue/cost
variance analysis and related functions. Serves as a business
partner to the operational leaders of the Hospital, Parent, Medina
Ambulatory Surgery Center and Post-acute divisions. Maintains
productive working relationships with both operational leaders and
Summa Corporate Finance. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Formal
Education Required: a. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or
related healthcare field. b. Master’s Degree in Business, Health
Care Administration or related field preferred. 2. Experience &
Training Required: a. Seven (7) years in a financial leadership
role with manager-level responsibilities or above. b. Experience in
a large multi-entity finance department preferred. 3. Other Skills,
Competencies and Qualifications: a. Excellent communication,
leadership, organizational, financial, and interpersonal skills. b.
Ability to influence the efforts of others to achieve objectives
and financial goals. c. Ability to work effectively in a team
environment with the Operational, Clinical, Financial, and Revenue
Cycle staffs. d. Ability to work well within a team environment
through collaborative efforts and by accepting and offering honest
and constructive feedback, supporting team goals, and encouraging
fellow team members. e. Ability to work independently to execute
initiatives and meet deliverable deadlines with minimal oversight.
f. Ability to work with clinical and non-clinical personnel to
support initiatives within the Hospital, Parent and Post-acute
Divisions. g. Flexibility to meet the ever-changing healthcare
landscape. h. Population Specific Competency: Ability to
effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding
of their needs for self-respect and dignity. 4. Level of Physical
Demands: a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force
occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Equal

salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary
exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as
years of relevant experience and geographical location are
considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in
the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our
current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind
that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring
