Job Title: Part time Psychiatrist Location: Youngstown, OH 44505
Schedule: Flexible weekdays (typically 7:00 AM 5:00 PM) Hours per
Week: (8-hour shifts) Duration: Minimum 6 months, with possible
extension Position Summary The Psychiatrist will provide part-time
on-site psychiatric services for an adult male population in a
secure behavioral health setting. This role includes diagnostic
evaluation, medication management, treatment planning, and
collaboration with interdisciplinary clinical teams. The position
offers flexible daytime scheduling, no on-call duties, and
potential for long-term placement. Key Responsibilities • Conduct
psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans. • Manage
medication regimens and monitor treatment effectiveness. • Document
all clinical services in an electronic health record (EHR). •
Perform mental health examinations and prepare clinical reports. •
Order and interpret diagnostic testing as needed. • Refer patients
to specialized care when appropriate. • Deliver care consistent
with professional standards, clinical protocols, and scope of
practice. • Participate in quality improvement activities,
including peer review. • Engage in collaborative clinical
agreements when required. Qualifications • Active, unrestricted
Ohio medical license. • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in
Psychiatry. • DEA certification (required prior to starting). •
Experience in secure, correctional, or forensic settings preferred
but not required. Workload & Expectations • On-site work between
hours per week. • No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
• Caseload expectation: patients per 8-hour shift. • Flexibility
within daytime operating hours. • Assignment may be extended or
convert to permanent placement. • Phone interview and on-site tour
required.
