CT Tech Location: Weirton, WV Agency: Windsor Healthcare Recruitment Group, Inc. Pay: $3,001 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position 50 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE LICENSING HITS MUST BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION - General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.): BLS, WV Xray License WV CARES REQUIRED PRIOR TO START - Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: Prefer ARRT (CT) or a minimum of 3-5 years CT experience (See General Radiology Cert Overview Below) - How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: "2 CT Rooms Staffing: 3 Tech on Daily, some nursing support for IVs and adminstering premeds Techs must have IV experience " - Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: No - Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: "Head,chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, & biopsies and sterile tray set up They are willing to train in performing biopsy's, if necessary " - Experience or 'Must have' skills "Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment - Will accept first time travelers " - Average of scans/studies per day: 65/day 24 hours - What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use? - EMR: Community Works - PACS-Intellirad/Intelliconnect - Department Specific Equipment: (GE, Phillips, Siemens): GE VCT 64 slice, Siemens Somatom Definition 64 slice - Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech?: Imaging Director and Manager M-F Daylight and always available via telephone, Lead tech works 2,2,3 shift with CT team - Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No - Radiologist in-house 24/7? Yes until 5pm, then on call, Vrad covers interpreting 2a-6a - Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department): Yes - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): "Staff works 2,2,3 shift between 2 teams meaning they work 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, Daylight, afternoon, midnight, Day Shifts: 06-230, 0630-3, 8-4:30, 9:30-5, Afternoon Shift: 2:30-11, Midnight Shift: 12-8", - *Would they ever be the only tech in-house within their department?* Yes, overnight - Weekend Requirements: EOW - Holiday Requirements: May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation - Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: None - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: May wear any color scrubs as long as they are clean and professional, permanent staff wear an Emerald Green color if traveler would like to match, not required. - Department specific orientation: 5 shifts with a preceptor
