How you'll contribute A Nurse Manager Surgical Services (RN) who excels in this role: Interviews, selects and provides for training of new employees. Independently evaluates and determines work assignments and evaluates job performance; recognizes performances. Adheres to Corrective Action Policy for Employees. Completes daily departmental assignments. Edits and approves time worked in payroll system. Reviews, validates and codes invoices in a timely manner. Adheres to Grievance Policy. Develops and implements department and/or hospital policies relevant to patient safety and overall Strategic Plan of the organization; according to regulations and standards. Develops and implements effective strategic initiatives with positive interpersonal style to guide staff towards the accomplishment of identified objectives and goals. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: Minimum of five (5) years of Acute Care nursing experience Minimum of one (1) year of Nursing Leadership experience Three (3) years of Surgical Services nursing experience preferred Current CPR certification ACLS and PALS certification Critical Care Course or Basic Coronary Care Course preferred More about Conemaugh Miners Medical Center Conemaugh Miners Medical Center is a 25-bed facility featuring a 24/7 Level IV Trauma Emergency Department with chest pain accreditation, offering sophisticated emergency care close to home.
