Nurse Practitioner | Critical Care Location: East Pittsburgh, PA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $125 to $130 per hour Start Date: ASAP About the Position Practice Overview: We are seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care NP or PA to support a newly expanded intensive care unit. The provider will be responsible for managing critically ill patients overnight in a MICU setting. Patient / Procedure Responsibilities: Manage critically ill patients including new admissions Perform procedures such as: Arterial lines Central lines Dialysis catheters Code response Collaborate with supervising in-house physicians and tele-ICU support Work alongside a solo APP on nights for support EMR System: EPIC Start Date / Duration: February – June 2026 Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Flexible block schedule; can accommodate provider availability Minimum commitment: 8 shifts per month Ideal commitment: 12 shifts per month Day Shifts (6A–6P): October: 10/4, 10/5, 10/18, 10/19 November: 11/8, 11/9, 11/16, 11/22 Night Shifts (6P–6A): November: 11/7 & 11/8 Full stretch available: 11/7 – 11/11, if desired Credentialing / Licensure: Active PA state license required Hospital privileging timeline: 3–4 months (locum file reviewed by network committee) Additional licensing requirement: PA Child Abuse certification (fingerprints) Support / Team: Tele-ICU support available Supervising in-house physician coverage overnight Solo APP support per shift Patient Volume: Currently TBD due to new unit Additional Notes: Closed ICU unit Secondary hospital coverage may be required Requirements Board Certified NP (Acute Care required) or PA ACLS, BLS Active DEA license Recent ICU procedural experience required Benefits Travel, lodging, and other accommodations arranged per locum guidelines covered Mapractice covered with Tail
