Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Morgantown, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,254 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Typical MedSurg population experience. Ability to read telemetry strips. Experience with titrating drips in stepdown settings. Description: Unit has a total of 32 beds, with 12 designated for stepdown and 20 for general floor care. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 for stepdown and 1:4-6 for floor care. Common diagnoses include Chest Pain, COPD, Acute Mental Status changes, Pneumonia, UTI, and Abdominal Pain. Unit may overflow patients from most services and will manage hospice transitions as necessary. Registered Nurses will be expected to titrate drips in the stepdown area. A charge nurse is budgeted for each unit, and a house supervisor is always available. Nurses will have support from telemetry monitor techs, and must be proficient in reading telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled for weekends and are integrated into the permanent staff holiday schedule. Floating between different units may be required. Dress code consists of Royal Blue scrubs.
