Cardiothoracic Surgeon Job Details Position Type: Locum tenens (travel contract) Location: On-site at a top hospital in Washington, PA Start Date: February 9, 2026 End Date: May 11, 2026 Coverage Needed: 3-10 consecutive days per month (flexible scheduling) Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (day/night) Estimated Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,390 - $7,560 Outpatient Clinic: Occasional patient visits at a nearby clinic (two blocks from hospital) Cardiothoracic Surgeon Qualifications MD or DO degree required Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC eligibility Active DEA license Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery Ability to commit to 3-10 consecutive shifts per month Available to start in February 2026 Cardiothoracic Surgery Responsibilities Provide locum tenens coverage for the cardiothoracic surgery service, supporting the current CT surgeon Perform surgical procedures including CABG, mitral valve, aortic valve, and supervise TAVR cases Conduct morning rounds with two advanced practice providers (APPs) Respond to emergency operating room cases and consults See patients in the outpatient clinic as needed Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care Apply now to join our Pennsylvania healthcare team and make a difference as a Locum Tenens Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Washington, PA!
