Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation • Nurse to patient ratios: 1:6-8 on nights • Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience • Will accept first-time travelers • Required certifications: BLS and RN License • Can take PCT class to become PCT or have CNA certification • Required to titrate drips including heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration) • Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness • Floating requirements to other medical-surgical, medical-surgical telemetry, or intermediate care units for lower acuity patients • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs • Orientation includes 1 day educator/computer system training and 1 day with preceptor • Charting system: Cerner • BSN not required • All submissions must include copy of unexpired driver's license • 50-mile radius rule applies • Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 48-bed medical-surgical unit providing acute care services to the community.
