ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Weirton, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Weekend requirement every other weekend • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation • Nurse to patient ratios: 1:5-7 on days, 1:6-8 on nights • Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience • Will accept first-time travelers • Required certifications: BLS, RN License • Can take PCT class to become PCT or can have CNA certification • Required to titrate drips with exceptions - no cardiac drip titration allowed • Common titratable drips include heparin, bumex, and lasix • Treat common diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness • Floating requirements to other medical-surgical, medical-surgical telemetry, or intermediate care units for lower acuity patients • Shift pull rotation may apply • No call or standby requirements • Dress code requires navy blue scrubs for RNs • Orientation includes 1 day with educator/computer system and 1 day with preceptor • Chart using Cerner system • BSN not required • Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license • All licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission Facility: This medical center operates a 48-bed medical-surgical unit providing acute care services.
