Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU (Travel) Location: Morgantown, WV Contract Length: 13 weeks (extensions possible) Shift: Nights | 3x12s (7p–7a) Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This role requires strong cardiothoracic ICU experience, including direct fresh open-heart admissions from the OR, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and management of complex cardiac devices. The CVICU is a 10-bed Cardiac Care Unit with a typical 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, based on acuity. Required Experience Minimum 2 years RN experience Strong CVICU experience required Must have experience with: Direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR Swan-Ganz catheter management Impella monitoring CRRT/CVVHD Pressure and hemodynamic monitoring Required Certifications (All must be American Heart Association) BLS ACLS NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Licensure : West Virginia RN License or Compact License Preferred Skills Arterial line management Chest tube management Ventilator care ABG interpretation Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips IABP, LVAD/RVAD experience Post-cardiac surgery care Dysrhythmia interpretation and management EMR : Cerner HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31633759.
