Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West

Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights -
Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Job Details: •
Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other
weekend requirement with holiday rotations • Nurse to patient ratio
of 1:3 with assistance from clinical associates • No call or
standby requirements • Floating requirements on rotational basis
with other staff members • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS •
BSN not required but license to submit required • Royal blue scrub
color required • Unit-specific orientation provided with clinical
preceptor • EPIC charting system • Must have strong assessment
skills and ability to adapt to fast-paced work environment •
Required to titrate drips including cardizem, labetalol, amiodarone
and others (no sedative drips) • Work with respiratory equipment
including BiPap, CPAP and chronic vents • Basic EKG interpretation
skills needed as all 24 beds are monitored • Care for trauma and
general med/surg patients including brain injuries, spinal cord
injuries, traumatic fractures and complex trauma patients • Manage
respiratory compromised patients with tracheostomies and chronic
vent dependent patients • Provide care for reconstructive plastic
surgery patients with microvascular free flaps • Handle advanced
diabetic management for type 1 and type 2 patients • 24-hour
hemodynamic monitoring required • Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per
13 week contract Facility: This medical center operates as a Level
1 trauma center serving the state with 24 spacious private rooms
equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring capabilities. The
facility specializes in medical/surgical/trauma care and features
advanced equipment including 11 rooms with in-ceiling lifts to
promote early patient mobilization. The stepdown unit provides
higher-level care with 24-hour hemodynamic monitoring and offers
exceptional learning opportunities for both seasoned and new
graduate nurses. The facility maintains telemetry technicians in a
central location and video monitoring for patient safety. Location:
Morgantown, WV Morgantown offers a vibrant college town atmosphere
as home to West Virginia University, providing cultural activities
