Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Neuro Job Details: • Weekend night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Weekend schedule includes Friday, Saturday, Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday, Monday • Work on 6 West Neuro unit with 20 beds (14 floor beds) • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for floor patients • Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (must be in hand at time of submission) • ACLS preferred • Must have strong neuro experience and proficiency with G-tubes • Recent EPIC experience required • BSN not required • Care for patients with neurosciences conditions, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulators), stroke, seizures, surgical/post-op spines, and neurological disorders • Telemetry monitoring available with monitor techs reading strips • RT available 24/7 for floor vents and respiratory equipment • May titrate drips per physician orders including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine, and others • Floating possible to other units including 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10E • Holiday rotation required • Unit orientation: 1 shift • Dress code: Any combination of white and royal blue • Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract • Any background hits must be disclosed at time of submission Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a regional healthcare hub, providing comprehensive neurological care and advanced treatment options.
